About Strong Arm
Strong Arm Bindery is a bookbinding studio located in the east end of Portland, Maine. We repair and restore old, well-loved books. We also build boxes to protect them. And we design and build our own line of stationery pieces. We do alot of printing; hot-stamp, letterpress, screen and off-set printing---all here on our own machines. At Strong Arm we have a loose and fruitful association between 3, sometimes 4, of us. Our work is mighty and useful.

Work in Progress for the Portland Flower Show

It's been two years since Strong Arm Bindery participated in the Portland Flower Show. This year we're focused on the woods. Yeah, it's not exactly flowers, per se, but trees have flowers, too. You know? And it's what we like.

Here's what we're working on: screen printed wood grain images, with letterpress text printed on top. Much obliged to Reuben J. Little of 43rd Parallel Press for the screen work.
